Traverse City, Michigan is one of the most scenic areas to view fall scenes and take fall photos. The leaves in northern Michigan in the fall are vibrant and the Traverse City and Leelanau County area is full or bright reds oranges and yellows once the fall comes. Be sure to get your Traverse City fall photos early enough to actually see the vibrant fall colors. Typically, Columbus Day weekend is the best weekend to enjoy fall colors, although there are some areas inland and north of Traverse City that peak during the last week of September and the first week of October. Areas closer to the water keep their leaves just a bit longer due to the warm water temperatures.
